People’s Leasing 30th Anniversary Media Conference
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of People’s Leasing, which fell on 31 May 2026, a special media conference was held on 19 May 2026 at the People’s Leasing Havelock Branch Auditorium, with the participation of Chairman Prof. Ajantha Samarakoon, CEO/General Manager Mr. Sanjeewa Bandaranayake, the Senior Management team, and members of the media.
To commemorate this milestone, PLC organized several initiatives, including the opening of trading at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) through a bell-ringing ceremony, the main anniversary celebration with employees at the Head Office, the launch of a 30th Anniversary Commemorative Stamp, an Employee Talent Show, and impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across the island. These initiatives were designed to celebrate the organization’s journey and its contribution to society while honoring the people, partnerships, and communities that have supported PLC’s remarkable growth story.
Commenting on this milestone, Chairman Prof. Ajantha Samarakoon stated that the 30-year journey reflects the trust and confidence placed in the organization by its customers, employees, and stakeholders. CEO/General Manager Mr. Sanjeewa Bandaranayake also acknowledged the dedication and commitment of the employees and reaffirmed the company’s focus on innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.
