People’s Leasing & Finance PLC Toastmasters Club Celebrates 10th Installation Ceremony, Welcomes New Members and Launches LinkedIn Page

The People’s Leasing Toastmasters Club proudly hosted its 10th Installation Ceremony on July 21, 2025, at the 11th floor Penthouse of PLC. The milestone event celebrated a decade of fostering communication and leadership skills, while also ushering in a new era for the club with the induction of new members and the launch of its official LinkedIn page. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Ajantha Samarakoon, Chairman of PLC, who served as the Chief Guest. DTM Niroshan Nadarajah, District Director of Toastmasters District 82, attended as the Guest of Honor, emphasizing the significance of Toastmasters in personal and professional development. The audience was further enlightened by a compelling keynote address from TM Niranjan De Silva. Distinguished guests in attendance included DTM Bhathiya Hettiarachchi, District 82 Program Quality Director; DTM Piyakara Jayaratne, District 82 Club Growth Director; and DTM Kasun Wijethilake, Division Director Division F. The event also saw the presence of the corporate management of PLC and PML, alongside esteemed guests from various other Toastmasters Clubs, highlighting the strong community spirit within the organization and the wider Toastmasters fraternity. A key highlight of the evening was the induction of 16 new members into the PLC Toastmasters Club, signifying the club's continued growth and commitment to developing new leaders and communicators. Following this, the Executive Committee for the year 2025/2026 was officially installed, ready to guide the club in its next chapter. The members of the new Executive Committee are TM Nilupuli Gunawardena, President; TM Sanjeewa Kamburugamuwa, VP Education; TM Safra Firdhouse, VP Membership; TM Sameera Mihiran, VP Public Relations; TM Dasuni Thenuwara, Secretary; TM Sanduni Dulanjalee, Treasurer; TM Dilushka Abirami, Sergeant at Arms. In a move to enhance its online presence and connect with a wider audience, the PLC Toastmasters Club also officially launched its LinkedIn page during the ceremony. This new platform will serve as a hub for sharing club activities, achievements, and insights into the benefits of Toastmasters membership. The 10th Installation Ceremony was a resounding success, marking a significant chapter in the PLC Toastmasters Club's journey of empowering individuals through effective communication and leadership.
