PLC Excels at National ICT Awards Night
We are pleased to announce that People’s Leasing & Finance PLC achieved outstanding success at the National ICT Awards (NBQSA) 2025, held on 10th October 2025 at the Taj Samudra Hotel, by winning five prestigious awards for our innovative in-house solutions, PLC CORE and GOLD CASH.
PLC received the Overall BRONZE Award among more than 400 applicants, including banks, finance companies, and software development firms. This is a remarkable milestone, marking the first time in history that a finance company has achieved such a prestigious recognition at the NBQSA Awards.
The flagship system PLC CORE received the Breakthrough ICT Innovation of the Year Award, which is presented to the most disruptive and groundbreaking innovation that demonstrates exceptional technical excellence, industry impact, and the potential to drive future advancements.
PLC CORE was also honored with the Best Digitalization Process Enabler of the Year Award, recognizing the company’s innovative approach to transforming internal and external business processes through technology and creativity.
The product further secured the SILVER Award under the Banking, Insurance & Finance category, strengthening its position as a leading digital platform in the financial sector.
The innovative GOLD CASH solution won the GOLD Award under the Finance & Accounting Solutions (FinTech) category, acknowledging its excellence in redefining digital financial services through convenience, accessibility, and automation.
Both PLC CORE and GOLD CASH were conceptualized, designed, developed, and fully implemented by in-house, reflecting the organization’s collective strength, innovation, and commitment to delivering world-class digital solutions through its own resources and expertise.
Adding to this proud achievement, PLC has been nominated to represent Sri Lanka at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2025, to be held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in December 2025, where both PLC CORE and GOLD CASH will compete on the international stage.
